Salt Lake Home Expo Guide: April 30–May 2, 2027
The Salt Lake Home Expo comes to the Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy, April 30 – May 2, 2027. Local and national home improvement companies set up under one roof, and admission is free. Here’s how to get the most out of your visit.
Expo hours and location
- Friday, April 30: 12 pm – 7 pm
- Saturday, May 1: 10 am – 5 pm
- Sunday, May 2: 11 am – 4 pm
Mountain America Expo Center, 9575 State St, Sandy, UT 84070. It’s right off I-15 and an easy drive from Salt Lake City, Draper, South Jordan, West Jordan, Murray, Midvale, Riverton and Herriman. TRAX also stops nearby at the Sandy Expo station.
1. Reserve your free ticket first
Grab your free ticket on Eventbrite so you can walk right in.
2. Make a short project list
Write down the two or three projects you’re most serious about: a new roof after a snowy winter, replacement windows, a furnace or air conditioner, a basement finish, water-wise landscaping, or a kitchen or bathroom remodel. Check the exhibitor list as companies are announced.
3. Bring photos, measurements and a recent utility bill
Photos of the space and rough measurements help exhibitors give you real ideas and pricing on the spot. A recent power or gas bill is handy when you talk about HVAC, insulation, windows or solar.
4. Compare at least three quotes
The biggest advantage of a home expo is that competing companies are steps apart. Talk to several pros about the same project, ask about licensing and insurance, warranties and timelines, and compare.
5. Ask about expo-only specials
Many exhibitors offer discounts and financing deals that only apply to appointments booked at the expo. Ask every booth you visit.
6. Come Friday evening or Sunday for shorter lines
Saturday is usually the busiest day. The expo is open until 7 pm on Friday, so an after-work visit or a Sunday stop gives you more time with exhibitors.
